How does a residence permit consultation in Barcelona work?
By appointment. ReloVictory receives clients at Calle Vilamarí 60, local 2, 08015 Barcelona. The consultation is held by the ReloVictory team in Russian; the team’s lawyer works in Spanish, Catalan, English and French, and the interpreting arrangements are set out in the contract. If you are not in Barcelona, the meeting format is agreed when you book. There are two formats.
| Format | Duration | Price |
|---|---|---|
| First consultation | first 15 minutes | free |
| Full individual consultation | 45 minutes | 121 € |
The team has a lawyer for the legal side and a graduada social for tax and administrative matters. The consultation does not replace an individual legal opinion and does not promise a result: the decision on the permit is made by the authority.
What should you prepare for the consultation?
The more precise your initial information, the more specific the review. Prepare:
- Your passport and its expiry date: a visa requires a passport valid for at least one year, and the consulate in Moscow asks for two blank pages [1][3].
- Your current status in Spain or in your country of residence, dates of entry and exit, current permits and decisions of the authorities.
- The ground you are considering, or a description of what you will be doing: remote work, study, an employment contract, living on your own funds, family.
- Documents on income or funds. For the DNV the threshold is €2,849 a month (€34,188 a year before tax) [2].
- Your family members and documents proving the relationship.
- Any previous refusals, requerimientos and correspondence with the authorities.
- Your preferred moving dates and a list of questions.
You do not need to collect a full set of documents before the consultation: the list depends on the ground and is confirmed during the review.
What can be clarified in 30 or 45 minutes?
The consultation covers four things. First: which ground fits your situation and how it differs from the alternatives, for example the DNV and no lucrativa. Second: whether to apply from Spain or through a consulate, and who receives the application. Third: which documents you need and in what order to collect them, and where translation and an apostille are needed. Fourth: the order of steps, the grey areas and the costs you will have to bear separately. A good outcome of a consultation is a clear plan, not an approval percentage. If you are choosing between grounds, it helps to look at the comparison table and the overview on the residence permit in Barcelona page before the consultation.
What does the consultation not include?
The consultation does not replace filing and case management: that is a separate service. It does not promise time frames or a result, since these are determined by the authority, and the company is not responsible for how long responses take. It does not include an appeal against a decision, government fees or translations. If you decide to work with us, case management is arranged by quote; its structure is explained in what the cost of case support is made up of. Whether you need a lawyer for your application at all is covered in do you need a lawyer for a residence permit.
What happens after the consultation?
If you decide to go ahead, case management is priced individually by a quote that the client signs before work starts. Payment is 50% before starting and 50% before filing. Case management continues until the authority’s final decision; corrections and resubmission are included in the price, an appeal is not. Fees and translations are paid separately. If the client does not attend a booked appointment, it has to be paid for again.
How do I book?
Through the contacts page: send a request and briefly describe your situation. We usually reply within a few hours during working hours. Decide in advance which question matters most to you: in a short review it is easier to start with it. If you are already leaning towards the digital nomad visa, skim the DNV route card: your questions will be more precise.
